BOSS offers guitarists two types of footswitches for different applications. The FS-5U momentary type footswitch lets you engage a function while you hold down the switch. The FS-5L latch type footswitch changes the on-off status each time you press the switch.

Depending on the connected instrument, EV-5/7 pedals can function as a volume pedal, realtime parameter control pedal, or data entry pedal. Both pedals feature a Minimum Volume level control, plus height adjustable rubber feet for setting the proper playing angle. The EV-7 provides an extended range with a longer stroke of 30-degrees.
